About

Keona Health, an innovative healthcare technology provider, delivers critical solutions to streamline patient interactions and clinical communications. As its business scaled, Keona Health recognized the need to enhance the management of its Azure infrastructure, ensure robust disaster recovery (DR) capabilities, and meet stringent regulatory compliance requirements. To effectively address these objectives, they partnered with Atmosera, a reputable managed services provider specializing in Microsoft Cloud solutions, compliance management, and dedicated 24x7x52 support services.

Challenge

Keona Health encountered several operational challenges as its Azure-based infrastructure expanded. Independent management of their Azure environment placed significant demands on internal resources, diverting attention from strategic business goals. Moreover, their Azure environment harbored numerous stranded resources in unnecessary expenses and inefficiencies in resource allocation.

Solution

Atmosera delivered a comprehensive Managed Azure Technical Solution structured in clearly defined phases, combining migration, optimization, and disaster recovery strategies to meet Keona Health’s needs.

Phase One: Migration and Optimization

  • Atmosera seamlessly migrated Keona Health’s Azure environment from a self-managed Pay-As-You-Go subscription into Atmosera’s CSP-managed Azure platform. Post-migration Atmosera identified and decommissioned stranded and redundant resources, optimizing infrastructure utilization and substantially reducing costs.

Phase Two: Disaster Recovery Infrastructure Deployment

  • A Disaster Recovery (DR) environment was established in a secondary Azure region, ensuring data redundancy and availability. The setup mirrored the primary environment, facilitating quick recovery and minimizing downtime during service disruptions.

Phase Three: Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and DR Playbook Development

  • Atmosera implemented Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for the replication of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) resources to ensure consistent and rapid recovery. They developed a detailed DR Playbook outlining structured response procedures and performed tests to verify the recovery protocols. These tests ensured reliability and preparedness for DR scenarios, substantially minimizing potential service interruptions.
  • Additional Expansion Work Following the initial phases, Atmosera provided further services, including migrating resources. Atmosera successfully executed this migration project, which involved meticulous planning and coordination to ensure minimal downtime. The migration also included comprehensive network adjustments and resource reallocation.
Outcome

Keona Health’s transition to Atmosera’s managed Azure solution produced immediate and significant benefits. Operational efficiency improved substantially, allowing internal resources to redirect their efforts toward core business growth and innovation rather than infrastructure management. Eliminating redundant resources resulted in notable cost reductions and infrastructure optimization.

The robust disaster recovery solution implemented by Atmosera significantly enhanced Keona Health’s resilience and ability to maintain uninterrupted operations during potential infrastructure failures or service disruptions. The detailed and regularly tested DR Playbook provided assurance and clarity regarding recovery procedures to reduce risks of downtime and compliance exposure.

The successful migration and optimization of the development environment further streamlined development workflows and enhanced resource management capabilities. This additional work provided greater agility in its development processes and reduced administrative overheads.

Atmosera’s proactive approach to continuous optimization and its structured 24x7x52 support services ensured Keona Health’s Azure environment remained efficient, secure, and strategically aligned with evolving business and technological requirements. Regular business reviews and proactive adjustments have kept Keona Health ahead of industry trends, prepared for scaling, and fully compliant with regulatory standards.

Overall, the collaboration between Keona Health and Atmosera delivered enhanced operational performance, cost-efficiency, improved compliance posture, and strategic agility, positioning Keona Health for continued growth and success in the healthcare technology landscape. Atmosera continues to support Keona Health by providing Managed Services and DR services, Managed Security, and Managed Governance Services.

Future Initiatives

In alignment with its ongoing innovation strategy, Keona Health has recently prioritized Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its service offerings. This year, they plan to collaborate with Atmosera to develop an AI-powered chatbot aimed at efficiently handling calls to schedule and reschedule patient appointments. This initiative is expected to streamline operations, enhance patient engagement, and improve overall service efficiency.

Atmosera is thrilled to announce that we have been named GitHub AI Partner of the Year.
