Microsoft has released its latest “By The Numbers” interactive visuals with some interesting new statistics
Microsoft’s latest version of their “By The Numbers” Metro-style visual campaign shows some significant Azure adoption numbers as well as strong usage of their other online services such as Skype, OneDrive, and XBox Live. Here are a few of the more significant statistics shown in the graphics.
- The Office for iPad apps have been downloaded more than 45 million times. (Source: Microsoft)
- There are more than 2 million Visual Studio Online users. (Source: Microsoft)
- Microsoft Azure is available in 140 countries. (Source: Microsoft)
- There are more than 6 million .NET users. (Source: Microsoft)
- Office 365 Home and Personal have a combined 7.1 million subscribers. (Source: Microsoft)
- Bing indexes more than 2 billion Facebook status updates and half a billion tweets every single day. (Source: Microsoft)
- More than 20 percent of Azure virtual machines run on Linux. (Source: Microsoft)
