1776

I finished the draft of the ASP.NET 2.0 provider toolkit today. There’s some good information in it, even if I do so say myself. It’ll go through a review cycle at Microsoft, and then I’ll come back and make final edits. With a little luck, it’ll be ready for prime time in a few weeks. Ultimately, however, the timing is up to Microsoft. Hopefully we’ll have a stack of CDs to hand out at the PDC.

I just finished reading David McCullough’s new book, 1776. It’s a decent read, especially if you’re a Revolutionary War buff. It documents in a fair amount of detail the chess match between Generals Washington and Howe leading up to the war and during the war’s early days. However, it really is about 1776, so just when things are getting exciting (like December 31, 1776), the story ends.

I guess it sets the stage for that grand and glorious sequal, 1777.
